Hilty Wins NASP Academic Archer Prize

Posted

Anna Hilty, from CHS, was one of only 10 students from across the nation  to win a new Genesis bow and set of  arrows. This prize came from the NASP Academic Archer program. Anna currently has a 4.0 GPA and is one of the best shooters on the team.  At the state tournaments she was ranked at #14 out of 136 in Bullseye for tenth grade girls and #4 out of 68 girls for 3D. Anna has a desire to excel in both the classroom and in archery.  Anna was randomly selected from all the Academic Archers in the Nation and has received a Genesis Bow of her choice and 12 Easton Arrows.  This is the first time a Clinton student has been selected for this reward.

What is an Academic Archer? All students that fully participate in  a NASP archery class or on the school archery team and meet local academic criteria for recognition, are eligible to be an Academic Archer.  Each school can determine the criteria following the NASP guidelines. The Academic Archer program is independent from any and all forms of tournament participation.  NASP had 17,344 Academic Archers registered for the 2020-2021 school year. Congrats Anna.
