Wayne Eddie Hehner, Born August 16,1933, Died August 19,2023.
Wayne was the son of Ed Eddie Hehner and Suzi Hehner. He had a twin brother Dwayne (Tony) Hehner and younger brother Dan Hehner. They all proceeded him in death.
Wayne had three sons by his first marriage. Edward Hehner (Mary)-Waynesville, Ricky Hehner LaDue, Mark Hehner, Osceola. Wayne had two sons by his second marriage to his wife of 53 years Connie Lucille Hehner. John Crowder (Rebecca) of Deepwater, Larry Crowder of Deepwater.
After high school Wayne served in the army during Korea and was stationed at Fort Riley, Ks. After his discharge he worked in the Davis Mine for several years, then was an over the road truck driver for Clearfield Cheese Schreiber Foods, drove for Stinnett Feed, then finally for D & D Sexton before finally retiring.
He loved working with his hands whether it be building his home to working on engines. He was always willing to help anyone who asked. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Connie and kids across the United States. Wayne enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He would smile the biggest smile even for a small fish. He enjoyed quail hunting when you could find them or rabbits.
Wayne enjoyed visiting with people he would strike up a conversation about anyone he would talk your ear off. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his eleven grandchildren Robert, Amanda, Andrea, Autumn, Steven, Ricky, Leonard, Nathanial, Dalton, Kayla, and Logan. They brough the biggest smile to his face.
Wayne also had ten great grandchildren and he would comment “They sure are pretty” and smile
because he was so proud of them.
Wayne loved life from holding his wife’s hand to the simple things of playing with his kittens. He warmed the hearts of so many over the years. From his family and friends to the wonderful nurses who took care of him to the end. He would just have a way to make you smile with him.
Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, or friend he warmed your heart and will be deeply loved and missed.
