Shelby Fellhauer, age 91, of Urich, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Ray Shelby Fellhauer was born on January 9, 1932 in Clinton, Missouri to James Arlington Fellhauer and Georgia May (Hueitt) Fellhauer. On August 19th, 1955 he married Norma Jean Ricker, and to this union of 68 years they were blessed with two children Kenneth and Cathy.
Shelby served in Germany with the U.S. Army. He worked at the GM Leeds Assembly Plant in Kansas City where he retired after many years. He was a longtime member of the Urich Baptist Church.
Shelby loved his farm, teaching his grandkids to fish, and enjoyed gardening, he would give out vegetables to all his kids and grandkids. After retirement he and Norma loved attending their grandchildren’s sports events.
Shelby is preceded in death by his wife Norma Fellhauer, his parents James and Georgia Fellhauer, and his brother Willard Fellhauer.
Survivors include his son Kenneth (Brenda) Fellhauer, his daughter Cathy (Mike) Spencer, 8 grandchildren; Monica Cook, Brandon (Janie) Staley, Jerrod (Beth) Fellhauer, Shauna Sterner, Kenny Fellhauer, Lauren (Chris) Phillips, Kayla (Matt) Harris and Alyssa (Kenneth Wheeler) Fellhauer, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, one brother Franklin Fellhauer, along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held November 24, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, MO with Brandon Staley officiating. Special music included “Grandpa, Go Rest High and Old Rugged Cross.” The casket bearers were Brandon Staley, Kenny Fellhauer, Chris Phillips, Jerrod Fellhauer, Matt Harris and Cody Staley. Interment followed in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO. Military honors were under the direction of VFW Post #1894 and the US Army.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
