Sandra L. Huey, 79, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Warsaw Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Mo. She was born August 3, 1944 in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Woodrow Griffin and Marjorie Ann (Witt) Griffin.
Sandra married Michael Lee Huey on December 21, 1963 in Leavenworth, Ks. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2021.
A 1962 graduate of Lansing High School, Lansing, Ks., she was employed as a loan officer with Commerce Bank for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary. Sandra enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, word search puzzles, playing cards and teaching Bible study classes.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Huey (Bobbie), Carthage, Mo., and Mark Huey (Wendy), Clinton, Mo.; one daughter, Christine “Sis” Johnson (Lance), Clinton, Mo.; grandchildren, Bryan C. Lutgen (Krystal), Justin M. Lutgen (Melissa), Chelsey L. Funk (Aaron), Clay Huey (Makenzee), Jordan Huey, Devin Huey and Mark Lavigne (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Bryce, Claire, Wyatt, Wrenlee, Hunter, Emily, Asher and Savanna.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and step-mother, Kathryn E. Griffin.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. just prior to the service. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Golden Valley Hospice or the Trinity Lutheran Church.
