Norma Jean Fellhauer, age 86, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her home in Urich, Missouri.
Norma Jean (Ricker) Fellhauer, was born on June 24, 1937 to Lona Mae (Eidson) Ricker & Loyd Vernon Ricker in Clinton, Missouri. On August 19th, 1955 she married Ray Shelby Fellhauer, and to this union of 68 years they were blessed with two children Kenneth and Cathy.
Norma worked at Western Electric. She was a member of Monday Morning Crafters, Urich Baptist Church, the Grand River Homemaker’s and she started the Urich Mad Hatters. She enjoyed crafting for the homemaker’s annual silent auction - which was one of the highlights of her year, as well as reading, antique shopping, and collecting toothpick holders.

She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sports games, fishing with her young children on Sundays, playing games with her grandchildren, girls trips later in life with her daughter and granddaughters, and cooking and baking. The family has shared that they have the best Thanksgiving dinner around! She was a very kind woman with quite the ornery streak. She adored her family and took such pride in them. Norma was never ready to leave family functions when Shelby was because she always wanted to spend more time with those she loved.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carl Ricker, and her sister Linda Ricker.
Survivors include her husband Shelby, her sister Donna (John) Dalton, her son Kenneth (Brenda) Fellhauer, her daughter Cathy (Mike) Spencer, 8 grandchildren; Monica Cook, Brandon (Janie) Staley, Jerrod (Beth) Fellhauer, Shauna Sterner, Kenny Fellhauer, Lauren (Chris) Phillips, Kayla (Matt) Harris and Alyssa (Kenneth Wheeler) Fellhauer, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held for Norma October 19, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Brandon Staley officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art and Blessed Assurance.” The casket bearers were Brandon Staley, Kenny Fellhauer, Chris Phillips, Jerrod Fellhauer, Matt Harris and Cody Staley. Interment was in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
