It was a great night this past weekend at the Steve Leslie Tournament for Lady Cardinals varsity wrestling, with all five girls that made the trip to Pleasant Hill earning a spot in the top-five of their classes.
Amitria McNack achieved the highest heights of night for the team, as the nationally ranked star cinched up 1st Place in her class.
McNack, however, wasn’t the only one to impress on the road trip as sophomore Abby Jones showed poise, confidence and technique in taking home the 3rd place bronze in her first ever tournament action. Also notching a bronze was fellow sophomore Bailey Pack. Behind Abby and Bailey, Mia Bagley (4th Place), and Kylee Whalen (5th Place) rounded out the impressive effort for the Lady Cards.
As a team, the Lady Cards placed 6th out of the 15 teams that attended the tourney.
Next up for the Lady Cards will be the Gem City Scramble on December 9.
