THE SOFTBALL LADY MARKSMEN won their 2021 Class 2 District 8 title by beating Summit Christian 15-0, Lafayette County 4-3 and Carrollton 1-0. They moved into the State Playoffs and beat Mid-Buchanan 5-1 on Oct. 20. Their next target is Iberia on Friday, Oct. 29. If they win this semi-final contest they will play the winner of the New Bloomfield-Marceline contest for the State Title on Oct. 30. The Sherwood roster consist of: Lily Conner, Ariah Cook, Shelby Crawford, Avery Dalton, Lee Diggs, Sarah Dunker, Jenna Everhart, Lauren Gage, Brailee Graves, Hailey Gudenkauf, Kadynce Hill, Kinna Kelso, Lanee McKenzie, Summer Ostermeyer, Trinady Powell, Rebekah Riffle, Mackenzie Roofener, Layla Septer, Katelyn Stolifer, Miyah Swigart and Adie Weil. The Sherwood Head Coach is Lonny Price. The Lady Marksmen were District Champs in 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2021. They were State Champs in 2019. Go Marksmen!
