Lady Cardinals Bounced In First Round Of Districts

Both teams were strong in the circle in the opening round of the Class 3 District 7 tournament on Thursday, but Odessa was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their slim 2-0 victory over CHS, ending the Lady Cards season at 15-10 overall.
Briley Wishard started the game for CHS and recorded 18 outs.
Odessa opened the scoring in the first after Maddie Lockhart singled, scoring one run.
Brena Rider earned the win for Odessa. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking four.
In her last time in the circle, Wishard took the loss for Clinton. The right-handed pitcher went six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out seven and walking three.
Lockhart led Odessa with two hits in three at bats. Kiley Thomas and Lockhart each drove in one run for Odessa. The Lady Bulldogs didn't commit a single error in the field. Jordyn Loehr had the most chances in the field with eight.
