This 5-day bike ride began near Defiance, Missouri on Saturday, May 14. The bicyclist rode to Hermann on Saturday, May 14, then biked to Jefferson City on May 15, Boonville on May 16, Sedalia on May 17, and finished in Clinton on May 18. This is where I caught several of the ‘Muddy’ Riders and chatted with them for a few minutes. The riders I talked to said it was their first time on the Katy and they were very positive about the trail. Isn’t it great to have the Katy trailhead here in Clinton? (Talked with a lady at the Community Center on Friday from California that was about to hop onto the Katy Trail. She was riding an electric pedal assist bike. You see more and more of these now.)
