Have I Got A Line For You!

Well, XI Jinping met with his “dear friend” Vladimir Putin and said change is coming that hasn’t happened in 100 years and they (China and Russia) are driving it. What is this new era they talk about? Bringing back the Mao Revolution and the gulags? Meanwhile, we’ve been outsourcing our manufacturing, making other counties rich, while allowing those from anti-American countries to get educated here. What exactly were our “leaders” expecting? Two dictators with world control on their minds, what could possibly go wrong? But old XI is absolutely right. Change is upon us. Young people beating up old people, shoplifting in plain sight, schools convincing kids they’re criminals responsible for past sins and prosecutors that refuse to prosecute. Vladimir should remember the pact Stalin made with Germany in the 1930’s. China will invade Russia and take what they consider to be theirs in the first place, which is all of Eastern Europe. Won’t be long until the French change their national flag to a white cross on a white background and the Italians churn out tanks with 3 forward gears and 6 reverse. Something is brewing and whatever it is, it probably won’t be good. What a crazed world!

There is other crazed news. The number of Chinese migrants caught at our southern border has skyrocketed. Is this a Chinese Red Guard Advance Battalion to help facilitate the invasion? Sure would save them the hassle of a beach landing. Good Lord, will we be forced into pioneer justice since we’re not getting the protection we paid for with taxes? On the other hand, what’s the big issue here? EVERYONE has a right be in the United States without proper vetting. Can’t let one group in and not another. It’s the new “American Way.” Everyone deserves a subsidized American Dream. You betcha!

Niece Maeve Lorenz and her husband Brandon just got back from a trip to Colorado. Maeve said they made “great time” despite a speeding ticket on the way out and one on the way back. She inherited a lead foot from her mother. I remember making that trip many times in the late 90’s when I lived in Highlands Ranch just outside of Denver. I did love that area and the Rocky Mountains, much beauty and majesty there. I remember another thing too. Grandma Murphy once remarked, “You know, anyplace in the world is beautiful at twilight.” I’ve thought about that a lot.

I’ve wandered and wondered all over this column and someday will wander farther than that, where there will be more to see and hear and do. Hey old buddy, we’re all in this sad, happy, exciting, funny great jumble together. Take care of yourself.
