CWC Holds February Luncheon

Posted

Winter is reluctant to give way, causing temperatures to bounce around, which makes it that much more exciting to see signs of spring emerge. New Year’s resolutions have morphed into to-do lists as we make plans for spring cleaning inside and out. The CWC luncheon will have a “snowflake auction” where we can gather up our gently used treasures to be displayed on tables at the luncheon for a silent auction, creating an ‘out-with-the-old, in-with-the-new’ exchange. 100% of the proceeds will go to our local CWC account for future luncheon plans.
Our speaker is Carlene Klincksick, originally from northern Indiana, she has now lived in Missouri for 12 years, currently in Appleton City with her husband Clint. She has three original children and two bonus children and is now “Grammy” to two absolutely wonderful grandsons. Carlene challenges each of us to consider: “Are you being a good steward of God’s investment in you?”
The Christian Women’s Connection would like to invite area ladies to bring a friend or meet a friend and wear something valentine red or pink to the luncheon on Tuesday, February 21st at ll:45 a.m. at the fellowship hall of Clinton First Assembly at 1506 E Ohio, (the junction of Hwy 7 & 13). For reservations, call Debra Dolly (660)885-5918 or e-mail her at debdolly30@gmail.com The cost is $12. Be sure to come early to browse through the tables of treasures. If you have items to donate to the auction, please bring them to the fellowship hall by 10:30 so we have time to display them.
A hearty thank you goes to Blue Ribbon Bakery for catering.
