Pastors message was titled, ‘Surrounding yourself with those who support you’. His main scripture was Exodus 17:8-13, We all need to be encouragers for our friends and neighbors. We need to be sharing the word and helping our fellow man. As long as we walk with the Lord, we will be victorious. We need to focus on helping others and being a benefit to our neighborhood. We all need one another and encourage each other in the Lord’s word. The bible is full of examples of these actions for us and others. Isaiah 41: quites our fears. Also, Romans 14:19, persevere in making an effort to be a help to our fellow man. Exodus 17:8-13 are prime examples of helpers in the Bible who were helpers and encouragers to others.
We thank each person who came to worship here today and we pray for those who could not be with us. See you in Church?

As Christians, we sometimes ask God ‘which way should I go?’, but we must also remember that our destination is simply to be faithful to what He lies before us. This past Sunday, Pastor Pat Findley described four uses of the phrase, “God’s Will”. First, His decreed will is sovereign and absolute, such as the fact that Jesus is coming. Second, His desired will is revealed and written and calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Third, His permissive will, contrary to His desires, allows us to make choices, such as the choice to love Him. Finally, His directional will refers to His individual plans for our lives. So, when we ask what God’s will for our life is, we should really be asking ‘what is God’s will?’. In order to discover God’s will, we must start with growing our relationship with Jesus.

The path of discipleship is not easy but we can rest assured that we will not be on the path all alone. Place your trust in Jesus and remember He is never far away. Using Matthew 4: 1 – 11 Rev. Nancy Gillard delivered the message Beware the Rattlesnake in Your Shirt. Our anthem, “ Lord, Be With Us On This Day:, was played by Gay Smith.
The Presbyterian Women will meet March 3 at 1:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Their study this year is “Celebrating Sabbath, Accepting God’s Gift of Rest and Delight”. Consider joining this group of active, mission oriented ladies.
Several on going mission projects keep us involved in our community and world. To date a total of 97 colorful jump ropes have been hand braided and brighten up our foyer. 350 personal hygiene products have been completed for the “Girls in Africa” project and an impressive amount of over 100 toothbrushes in all colors and sizes have been donated for the Samaritan Center. It’s never too late to contribute to these projects. Jump in, be involved and feel the blessing.

“The Good Shepherd”
Scriptures: Psalms 23:1-6, Isaiah 40:9-11, John 10:7-16, Ezekiel 34:1-10, Matthew 9:36-38, 1peter 2:25, 2Tim 3:1-10, 2Thess 2:1-2
The responsibility of a good shepherd is you have to know more than feeding the sheep. There are times when they need medical attention, or protection.
Sheep need protection from wolves.
Sheep are humble animals and farmers invest a lot in their property. The Lord knows how to take care of his sheep.
He restores our soul. God will bring you up when you are down. The rod guides the sheep, God is our leader, Holy Spirit leads and guided us. You can be around your enemies, but God will protect you. God is dedicated to his flock. We must remain with our flock too.
The church belongs to God and should be conducted his way. False teachers come to scatter the sheep and cause confusion.
We as God’s sheep must know God’s voice.
Mat 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
It is everyone who are laborers for the Lord, not only those in ministry. (KJV)
We should feed God’s flock. To feed his flock we have to love God and be a living example for them.
Satan will come as a Shepard to scatter. We must be able to recognize the difference. We must stay in the word and be a good shepherd. God bless.

The Trustees will be setting up the mowing schedule for 2023 soon.
Please let one of the trustees know if you are interested in helping with the mowing and weed eating of the church’s yard. The church provides the mower and other equipment; we just need volunteers to operate it.
If you can help, or for more information, contact Doug Southers (660-525-3457), Laura Henny (660-942-5818), and Mark Hardin (913-335-5566). Thank you!
“Be sober-minded; Be watchful. Your adversary the Devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).
The Devil is real.
No. Really. Don’t laugh. Satan is not just an imaginary character, like the tooth fairy or Bigfoot, The Devil is a real, living being and he loves nothing more than for people to not believe so. It makes his job of deceiving people so much easier.
Martin Luther knew Satan is real. Just as Jesus really was tempted by Satan for 40 days in the wilderness, Luther wrestled with the devil his entire life. Luther’s great Reformation Hymn, “A Mighty Fortress is our God,” is all about the struggle between Satan and Jesus over me, you, and all believers.
“The old evil Foe now means deadly woe. Deep guile and great might are his dread arms in fight; On earth is not his equal:”
“But for us fights the valiant One, whom God Himself elected. Ask you, who is this? Jesus Christ it is…He holds the field forever!”
Luther’s words some 500 years ago still ring true today:
“So, when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: I admit that I deserve death and hell. What of it? For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God, and where He is there I shall be also!”

We were blessed to have a warm day to gather and worship the Lord. Clint Keeney rang the church bell. Mrs. Julia Klinefelter led in the congregational singing with Mrs. Dixie Collins playing piano. Randy Vogt and Clint Keeney collected the offering.
The scripture passage fro Pastor Chad Pollett’s sermon was from John 6:22-34. Once the crowd realized Jesus was gone and His disciples had taken the only boat without him. The crowd decided to go to Capernaum to attempt to find Jesus. They didn’t understand the miracle Jesus performed to arrive at Capernaum. The crowd followed Jesus for providing them with food. They did not understand the miracles He performed. The crowd was thinking literally and not spiritually. Jesus was providing spiritual food for eternal life. We must stay steadfast and faithful to the Lord because Satan will always tempt us.

The faithful gathered to worship the Lord. Randy Vogt rang the church bell. Julia Klinefelter led in the congregational singing with Charlene Orr played piano. Randy Vogt and Lonny Bramell collected the offering.
We welcomed Pastor Steve Sowell as he filled in to bring the message. The introductory passage was from Psalm 86:1-17. The scripture passage from the main sermon was from Ephesians 6:10-20. As Christians we are to put on the armor of God daily to protect us from the devil. We are to stand firm and walk in love, be moral, not be foolish or deceive, and be filled with the Spirit. Our strength is the Holy Spirit who gives us divine power to overcome evil and focus on Godly things. We should focus on truth, righteous living, peace and faith in the word of God. By staying focused on these things we can live a Godly life.

How do you find God? Is it in a great cathedral? In nature or being on a mountainside? Or is it in the smile of a child or a hug from a loved one. Any of these things and more can call to mind the goodness of God within our hearts and souls.
We are an open and affirming church and welcome all to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings.
Rev. Dane and John Gover shared their talents with their special music this morning!
What a great evening of delicious food and so much fun during our fellowship supper! We watched videos from all the unforgettable trips that our mission team were privileged to go on and make a difference. These trips were powerful and life-changing experiences. “We went because God called us to go.” We also enjoyed a “white Elephant” exchange which brought many, many laughs and even a planter WHITE ELEPHANT!
We send our prayers of love and healing to our members who are facing surgery. We continue our support and prayers for the people of the Ukraine as they face horrific atrocities as they fight for the world’s peace. We welcomed all to come and join us in Holy Communion today with Andy Lasswell and Jim Neuenschwander as servers.
On this first Sunday of Lent, we join with other Christians across the world in a journey to Jerusalem. We are drawn to the empty tomb. This is a time for prayer and meditation. It is a time to talk about what we have done or not done. It gives us opportunities for a new path and a new beginning.
There are temptations all around us. It may not be easy, but we need to let go of certain things and walk through the doorway of change. We will become different people and realize that some of those things that we hold onto doesn’t matter. We need to strip down to our essentials and find those things which are important. Jesus is the source of the living water, from him we receive the strength to continue and receive the power and grace that is there for each of us.
We give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!

Wanted Revival
2 Ch 7:14 - This passage in 2 Chronicles was written to the nation of Israel yet it is the formula for a real revival needed today. Let’s break this verse down and see what it takes to see a Holy Spirit revival.
It starts with the two-letter word “If.” According to the Webster’s 1828 dictionary it means, “it is used as the sign of a condition, or it introduces a conditional sentence.” There are four conditions that must be met before “God will hear from Heaven.”
The first condition is “shall humble themselves.” We must have a lowly demeanor, with meekness, and be submissive to the things of God. The real problem is most Christians think too highly of themselves to admit they are sinful.
T. S. Eliot said, “Humility is the most difficult of all virtues to achieve; nothing dies harder than the desire to think well of self.”
The second condition is prayer. The problem with the prayers of todays Christian is we believe that if we spend five minutes praying, we have done our duty. The type of prayer that will bring true revival will consist of hours and hours of praying!
“Many plans for revival have failed simply because we have not prayed.” Dr. John Goetsch
The third condition is seeking God’s face. This means total surrender! Andrew Murry stated, “And everyone of us is a temple of God, in which God will dwell and work mightily on one condition – absolute surrender to Him.”
When we really seek God’s face it will turn our world upside down. Because of that most Christians refuse to give God total control of their life. It could mean a different job, another place to live, turning off the TV and spending more time in the Word of God, maybe giving more of your money to the work of God and living on less or giving things away to others. We forget everything we have belongs to God.
The fourth condition is turning from our wicked ways. This requires Christians to take a Biblical look at their lives. This is an area that is most difficult for a lot of Christians because we have convinced ourselves that we are not that bad. Our standard is not the standard God is looking for, it is His standard. David wrote in Psalm 51, verse 3, “For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.” We don’t see ourselves as transgressors.
A. W. Tozer said, “We have learned to live with unholiness and have come to look upon it as the natural and expected thing.”
Revival Wanted. If there will ever be a revival it must start with me and all four conditions have to be met. If any one of them are missing, there will be no revival.
