The Cardinals fell to Odessa, 60-47 in the opening round of the MRVC West Tournament last Monday night to find themselves on the consolation side of the bracket the rest of the way.
In the second round, Clinton received a scheduled a bye.
In the third and final round, Clinton upended the Harrisonville Wildcats by way of a narrow 57-53 final to lock down a fifth place finish.
Clinton traveled to Sherwood on Monday night for a non-conference matchup and will then enter their holiday break.
The schedule will resume on Tuesday, January 3, when the Cardinals will host Nevada.
