Cardinals Shutout At Odessa

Posted

IT WAS A ROUGH NIGHT for Clinton football. The offense was under constant duress and the defense had no answers for the offense of the Odessa Bulldogs in a 40-0 loss. Afterwards, Cardinals head coach Todd Mowery shared his thoughts. "Not a lot went well Friday," he said. "We gave up way too many big plays defensively and the offense couldn't get moving. A major lack of focus and some bad attitudes didn't help matters. We revisited a place of bad culture that we all thought was in the past. We did some things well, but we did not take a step forward this week. The best thing about the Odessa game is the fact that it is over and we can move our focus to Holden and our first home game of the season. The next few weeks are going to be very tough games and we have to get locked in if we're going to find success."
