Heading to Sherwood just before Christmas and off to a 4-4 start to the 2022-23 season, Cardinals basketball went into enemy territory and came out with a much needed road win, bringing the team’s record to 5-4 heading into the break.
The team topped Sherwood 57-41 to send the Marksmen to 3-5 on the year. It was an important win for the team, which looks to build on the victory after the break against a vulnerable 3-7 Nevada team.
Key in the road win for the Cardinals was junior guard Dom Jackson, whose four baskets from beyond-the-arc helped in the effort to edge out the Marksmen.
