Care Connection for Aging Services is seeking residents to file as candidates for its Executive Board of Directors.
Board seats will be open for elections in these counties: Benton, Chariton, Henry, Johnson, Pettis, Saline, and Vernon.
Members of the Executive Board are volunteers who are responsible for determining agency policies in the following areas: human resources, planning, finance, community relations and organizational operations.
Board members regularly meet either in person or via videoconference to govern the agency’s operations, policies, and procedures. They advocate in the community for issues that benefit and serve older adults.
To file for election in Benton, Chariton, Henry, Johnson, Saline, Pettis, and Vernon County, call or visit your local senior center and ask for the center coordinator.
The candidate must agree in writing to abide by a code of ethics and file a statement of intent. The statement must be signed and mailed to Care Connection for Aging Services, P.O. Box 1078, Warrensburg, MO 64093, and postmarked by April 1, 2024. Elections occur in May.
Care Connection is a nonprofit area agency on aging serving people 60 and older and their caregivers in 13 West Central Missouri counties: Bates, Benton, Carroll, Cedar, Chariton, Henry, Hickory, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Saline, St. Clair, and Vernon.
The agency’s mission is to provide opportunities to create positive aging experiences.
