Bernhard Kaiser, age 52, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Bernhard was born in Munich, Germany on August 21, 1971 to Franz and Marianne Kaiser.
After graduating high school, Bernhard attended the Culinary Institute in Switzerland. While traveling through Europe he met Teresa in Athens, Greece. They worked together at a hostel for 3 months. Bernhard joined her in California in November of 1990.
Teresa and Bernhard were married on April 20th, 1990 at Lake Tahoe, California. They lived in Fremont, California until moving to Clinton in February of 1991.
He was employed in the construction and transportation fields. Bernhard worked for 12 years at Fischer Concrete. During his time at Fischer he became a United States Naturalized Citizen, a very proud moment for Bernhard and his family.
Bernhard decided he wanted to make a difference in our community. He attended the Police Academy University of Central Missouri. After graduation he was employed by Henry County Sheriff’s Department for 3 years.
At the time of his death, Bernhard had left the Sheriff’s department and was employed by Leesville School District as a bus driver. Bernhard had posted his intent to run for Southside Commissioner.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, motorcycles and anything that would keep him outdoors, even cutting wood! Bernhard’s walls are covered in deer antlers, turkey tails, and pictures of his fur babies.
Bernhard is survived by his wife, Teresa, his fur babies, Shabby and KAT, sisters-in-law, Kathy Nepple (husband Ron), Rhonda Robinson (husband Irl), brother in law J.R. Scranton (wife Amy), nephews, Ron Turner, Richard Turner, Matt Robinson, great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece all of Clinton, Missouri along with his parents Franz and Marianne Kaiser, one brother, Gerhardt (Sabine) and nephew Marcel and aunts, uncles and cousins from Austria.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Clarice Scranton of Clinton and an uncle and grandmother in Austria.
Funeral services were held March 27, 2024 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. David Mills officiating. Special music included “Scars In Heaven and Bed of Roses.” Honorary casket bearers were David Parks, Richard Stropes, Irl Robinson, Ron Knight, J.R. Scranton and Ron Nepple.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
