Yvonne (Bonnie) Kampe

Yvonne (Bonnie) Kampe, age 94, of Clinton, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 15, 2024.
One of six children, Bonnie was born in Clinton, Missouri, on May 29, 1930, to James Edward Wareham and Laura Dena (Lowe) Wareham. Bonnie married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Howard Kampe on February 21, 1953. Bonnie had three children, Bob, Gary and Sue.
Bonnie enjoyed a variety of jobs during her life, but most valued was being a mom, a grandma, a great grandma and a great, great grandma. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Bonnie was an expert seamstress and made many beautiful garments for her daughter and her grandchildren throughout the years. She worked alongside her husband and enjoyed many years of travel together throughout the Midwest during his years as a construction boilermaker. Bonnie and Bob retired to Windsor, Missouri, and ran the Meadowbrook Trailer Court together for 30 years. The last 13 years following her husband’s death, Bonnie and her daughter, Sue, lived together in Clinton, Iowa.
Bonnie is survived by her three children: Robert (Phyllis) Kampe of Fulton, Illinois; Gary (Kay) Kampe of Camanche, Iowa; and Charlene Sue Kampe of Clinton, Iowa; her seven grandchildren: Michelle Newsom, Daniel Kampe, Jacob (Kristen) Kampe, Kyle (Abby) Kampe, Andrew (Kayla) Kampe, Kellyanne (Nick) Blazek and Lydia (Paul) Hirsch; sixteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and all of her siblings.
Graveside services were held on October 21, 2024, in Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, MO, with Rev. Merlin Anstine officiating.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
