Versailles Outguns Cole Camp On Throwback Night

Once a year, Cole Camp plays in their old gym while the Christmas program takes over the larger arena. They call it 'Throwback Night'.

On Thursday, Versailles looked like a final four team in a 75-45 drubbing of the Bluebirds. Versailles' Ryder Williams had 39 points in three quarters bombing away from downtown.

The Bluebirds were without the services of injured 6'6" senior Gentry Dieckman for the third game in a row.

It was 26-19 after one and 41-25 at the half. The third quarter saw the Tigers put up 30 to lead 71-34. Versailles benched their starters in the fourth. Williams was 7 of 8 from the free throw line with 8 threes.

Bluebird Coach Kevin Shearer had high praise for the sharpshooter. "He is an offensive juggernaut. He can post up down low and can hit a three after he crosses half court. We won't see a better offensive player this season."

Shearer went on to say, "I thought our four seniors stepped up and showed some grit. I was proud of them tonight."

Reid Harrison was 8 of 10 from the free throw line and had 21 to lead Cole Camp, who fell to 1-3.
