Patriot Honor Society Travels To Branson

Clinton Christian Academy Patriot Honor Society had the privilege of traveling to Branson, MO on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. All members who attended included Juniors, Clara Hyke and Audrey Foster; Seniors, Kade Manning, Marlee Cronhardt, Priscilla Lanning, Jared Wisniewski, and Taylor Bateman. The purpose of this trip was to explore higher education opportunities at College of the Ozarks, just south of Branson.
The college holds to five pillars which include Academics, Christianity, Culture, Patriotism and Vocations. The students’ campus tour was highlighted by visits to Point Lookout, “Lest We Forget” Veterans Memorial, Williams Memorial Chapel and the Keeter Center. The beautiful day was a perfect opportunity for the students to see the beauty of the College of the Ozarks campus.
After the tour, students traveled to Dana’s, for a portion of local fare. PHS members enjoyed a few hours of free time, of course spent at Tanger Outlet Mall in downtown Branson. After departing the mall, members moved on to the next Branson venture.
Students then had the privilege of attending Queen Esther at Sight and Sound Theater. This two hour performance was flooded with detailed costumes, amazing music and the beautiful story of how God never fails to save his people. Taylor Bateman, a PHS member and Senior at CCA stated Queen Esther was, “very entertaining and Biblically truthful. I think Sight and Sound Theatre is amazing!”
Students began their return trip but made one short stop at Buc-ee’s in Springfield, MO. Buc-ee’s brags to have the “cleanest bathrooms in America.” The convenience store chain did not disappoint with that claim! This first time experience for all of the students was one for the memory books. Senior PHS members even purchased matching Buc-ee’s shirts to commemorate their visit.
