Missouri Retired Teachers Meet

Posted

The Henry County Retired Teachers and Retired School Personnel for Region 6 met on February 22, 2024, at the Clinton Methodist Church. An interesting program was presented by Sherry Himes of Green Streets Market on “How to Plant an Herb Garden”.
President Kathy Nepple called the meeting to order and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. January and February birthdays were recognized. Delicious refreshments were provided by Hospitality Committee members Vivian Taylor and Peggy Williams. Committee reports were presented and the 2024 yearbooks were distributed.
Members were encouraged to attend the Region 6 meeting to be held April 19, 2024, at the Assembly of God Meeting Hall, Osceola, MO. This meeting will provide valuable information for our members from the state MRTA office regarding our retirement and benefits available through MRTA.
For years, MRTA has been working to make sure Missouri school employees enjoy the retirement they deserve. Become a member and they’ll provide:
Pension protection
Access to benefits
Social opportunities
And other advantages of membership
Membership is a small cost that makes a big impact on the quality of life for you and other school employees. But we can’t do it without you. The more members we have, the bigger our voice.
The next Henry County chapter meeting will be held April 25, 2024, at Clinton Methodist Church. All retired Henry County teachers and school personnel are invited to join.
