Lincoln Softball Splits First Four Games Of Season

Posted

Lincoln scored 12 runs in the sixth to defeat Archie 17-1 on the road last Monday. It was a strange contest being that there was no score after four.

On Thursday, Lincoln defeated Windsor, 11-1 after six at home. Cadence Harvey went 3 for 4 with two RBI's. Braylin Paxton pitched all six innings with 1 run on 2 hits and 1 walk. Windsor also only walked 1 batter.

Lincoln played three games in three days, and it would have been four but Sweet Springs canceled Saturday; two against top teams in Buffalo and Warsaw. They led Buffalo on Friday at home before losing 8-7 and then on Saturday, they lost to Warsaw, 15-4 after leading 3-1 in the first.

Paxton has pitched every inning for the Lady Cardinals this season. She is following in the footsteps of her two sisters as a starting pitcher. Aleah was the pitcher on the 2019 state champion team and is in her first year as the head coach of the Lady Cardinals.
