Lincoln Avenges Early Season Loss With Win Over Wildcats

The Lincoln Cardinals defeated the Warsaw Wildcats 59-34 on Tuesday night to avenge a 60-59 defeat at the Warsaw Tournament earlier in the season. Since that time, Warsaw has lost 10 games in a row.

Lincoln Coach Tyler Burke was asked about the difference in the two games.

"I would like to think we have improved since then," the Cardinals coach said. "We have been working hard on the defensive end. And having the game on our own court helped."

Lincoln led 14-11 after one, 29-20 at the half and 48-28 after one.

Ben Eckhoff led all scorers with 19 points as the 6'3" sophomore's height was a problem for Warsaw underneath the basket.

Logan Gemes had 10 to lead Warsaw.

The Lincoln JV won 28-21.
