Letter To The Editor

To the Editor, and citizens of Clinton,
I am a baby boomer, born in the late 40’s. I grew up during a time when great men and great statesmen were celebrated and respected. In my opinion, these days, not so much.
Recently, our community suffered a great loss. Howard Cupp was among the first persons I met when I moved to Clinton in 2005. He and his wife Mary, were always first to cross a room to say “Hi”, and his work on
boards, commissions and pastoral applications were and will always be remembered as above reproach.
I hope that everyone whose life was touched by this great man will honor his memory by continuing his work in our community by caring for each person with whom we may come in contact.
May Howard rest in peace, and, if I may be so bold as to paraphrase Holy Scripture, “well done, thou good and faithful servant”.

Remembering a great man,
