Ladycats Lose In District Semifinal At Hands Of Stover

Posted

The Ladycats scheduled was all lined up for them to make a run heading into district play but a stretch of losses from winnable games led to an early exit from the Class 3 District 8 tournament where they were upended by Stover, 46-34, ending their season.

Another slow start for the Ladycats saw them trail 11-5 at the end of the first and then 20-11 at the half.

A 17-12 margin for the Lady Bulldogs put Warsaw in a 37-23 deficit at the end of the third before leading to the 46-34 season ending loss.

Tanna Howe was the lone Ladycat in double figures, pacing the offense with 12 points.

The Ladycats 9 wins was their highest total since the 2009-10 season. A more experienced squad will attempt to reach double digits again next year for the first time since 2010-11.
