Henry Elementary School’s Student Leadership Team has begun! Students were nominated by their teachers and will help with the student store, Cardi Market, and other school projects throughout the year. Earlier this month, students ran the store all by themselves for
the very first time!
The Student Leadership Team is part of Henry Elementary participation in the Leader in Me program, which is based on Steven Covey’s book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
The Leader in Me framework believes that everyone can be a leader, and this model is helping even the youngest students learn essential life skills such as taking initiative, planning ahead, setting goals, and solving problems.
