Henry County Soil & Water Conservation District Presents Poster Contest Winners

“May the Forest be with you Always” was the theme of this year’s Henry County Soil & Water Conservation District Poster Contest. Henry County children Grades 3-6 completed 326 posters. OakStar Bank has graciously sponsored the prize money for the contest.
The 1st and 2nd place County-Wide winners are listed below:
In the 3rd Grade Category
1st Place Winner is Emmett Shackles; the son of Jason & Kim Shackles. Emmett attends Clinton Intermediate, his teacher is Ms. Ackerman.
2nd Place Winner is Ezra Miller; He is the son of Richart Miller and Samantha Fisher.
Ezra attends Clinton Intermediate, his teacher is Mrs. Engeman.
In the 4th Grade Category
1st Place Winner is Gwen Mefford; she is the daughter of Jason & Karen Mefford. Gwen attends Davis, her teacher is Mrs. Crump.
2nd Place Winner is Jax Eye; he is the son of Theron & Nicole Eye. Jax attends St. Mary’s, hiss teacher is Mrs. Harris.
In the 5th Grade Category
1st Place Winner is Alayna Morgan; she is the daughter of Elizabeth Morris. Alayna attends Montrose, her teacher is Ms. Cooper.
2nd Place Winner is Kellen Kernohan; he is the son of Todd & Tanya Kernohan. Kellan attends Clinton Christian Academy, his teacher is Mrs. Jones.
In the 6th Grade Category
1st Place Winner is Lilah Burton; she is the daughter of Clay & Sonja Burton. Lilah attends Montrose, her teacher is Ms. Cooper.
2nd Place Winner is Rylee Crowell; she is the daughter of Jason & Tiffani Crowell. Rylee attends Leesville, her teachers is Mr. Gaylord.
