Henry County Soil & Water Conservation District Awards Scholarship

The recipient for the 1st Annual Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship is Coby Rhoads. Coby is planning on attending Fort Scott Community College to obtain his associate degree and John Deere certification to be a mechanic at a local dealership. He has lived on a farm outside of Windsor his entire life. He enjoys working with their cows, baling hay, planting crops, combining, and any other farm related chores. After graduation he is planning on coming back to the Windsor area and working at a local John Deere dealership while also helping on the farm.
The Henry County SWCD Scholarship provides financial assistance to students wishing to pursue a degree in an Agriculture course of study at a properly accredited College or University, or Trade School.
This scholarship is for students who graduated from an approved program of study in Missouri and resides in Henry County. Applicants must be in their senior year of high school, or in a full-time undergraduate academic study. They must major in an agricultural related field. Applicants must attend, or plan to attend a college or university, or trade school that is properly accredited by national or regional accrediting bodies, or their equivalence. Financial need were not a factor in the selection.
