Harrison, Bluebirds Off And Running This Season

Posted

Bluebirds head coach Brendan Rusk has 13 players out for the team this season. He lost senior pitching ace Gentry Dieckman due to injury. He has seven players who could take the mound for the Bluebirds. That in itself could make this an interesting season.

Sophomore Grant Rodriguez will take over the catching duties and looks to be a huge key this year.

The star of the show is senior Reid Harrison. He broke their stolen base record last season and will drive opposing teams wild trying to stop him again this time around. He is a sure glove in center and can race down any ball hit in the gap.

From there, Coach Rusk will have to work his magic with a young, inexperienced club. He is very optimistic and, with just 13 players, he is willing to play the hand he is dealt. Opposing coaches know he will figure it out. Stay tuned.
