It's the third week of January and it has been colder with almost record cold mornings for several days. But it is amazing how God has provided animals with the natural instinct to survive during the twists and turns life puts out to them. Calves were born during the coldest time and are frisky and spry as can be.

Prayers this week for Easter Willis, Leland Brown, Lovely Henderson, Kathy First, Carolee Apperson, Lewis and Judy Retherford Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough! Now remember Delores Prater as she is getting so much better and is coming home this week and may be in church next Sunday. Prayers are answered and God is GOOD!

Gracie Yoder had such a good few weeks while in Thailand but has moved on to South Africa. She is looking forward to the time she will be spending in South Africa. She will send word and share it with us we are sure. Everyone remember Gracie in your prayers!

There was all kinds of uproars for the last week from frozen pipes in houses to vehicles that wouldn't start because of cold. One thing about small towns, people take care of each other. The youngsters had several extra days off from school because of the cold weather; not because of snow on road, but due to ice and cold, cold temperatures.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had several out from church on Sunday. Lincoln and Victoria McGuire and their children were planning on being with the church but middle daughter Malea got up sick and they all stayed home. Lewis wasn't at church but others were all in attendance.

Specials were sung by Claude and The Lighthouse Singers, also Ken, Dobee and Brenda, and one by Br. Dave Cunningham. I will be careful to get names of songs next week! I was not able to teach Sunday School so Br. Dave taught the class for me and I was very appreciative. Br. Smith's message was found in the book of Matthew Chapter 3 verses 10-12!

Thought for the week: Contentment isn't getting what we want, but being satisfied with what we have!

Hope everyone has a great week!
