The past week's weather has been winter with snow falling and cold days! The almanac always calls for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of January always being the coldest according records that have been kept. This is not always the case though because one year when Dean was working in concrete business the weather was so nice they worked every week running basements.

Prayers this week are for Lighthouse attendee Patti Hatch's husband, Bud Hatch, and Delores Prater, and also Leland Brown fell last week and broke his hip and at this writing is in the hospital in Columbia. Lovely Henderson, Duncan (Joe and Karen's grandson) Kathy First, Jeannie Wright, Carolee Apperson, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Easter Willis, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen, Mary Scarbrough and all family with relatives needing prayer!

We got a note from Gracie Yoder last week wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. She sent pictures of her and her team working with elephants, some young ones and the team and Gracie all seemed to love working with them. Someone asked if she was still in Thailand and Gracie said yes and that she would continue to be there till at least middle of January when they would move to South Africa. Everyone reading this please remember to keep Gracie and her team in your prayers!

We are hoping as the new year begins that everyone involved with the Antwiler Park steps up and commits to attend meetings as often as possible, encourage others take part in things and tell others if there is anything they can do to make our Fristoe Antwiler Park and Community Building a better place!
Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church was blessed last week with the family of Paul and Crescent Haury, daughter of Br. and Sis Smith, and their children Duncan and Morgan spending time at the Smith farm for the holidays. Crescent and her family live in Kansas. The family took part in Bible study and other church activities. Sunday things were beginning to come back to even works as we began Sunday School, December 31. The lesson was found in Matthew Chapter 10, entitled The Christ-Sent Life. It was the study where Jesus called the 12 Apostles and sent them on the mission to proclaim the gospel! Specials were, Claude and Lighthouse Singers, UNCLOUDED DAY, Ken, Tell Me The Story of Jesus, Larry and Ellen, Mary's Christmas, and Dave sang, God Chose The Cross! The message brought by Br. Smith was found in the Book of Hebrews Chapter 10, 11 and 12!

Thought for the week: God, when He is measuring a man puts the tape around the man's heart not the man's head!

To everyone, hope all have a beautiful, happy and blessed New Year!
