The weather this week has been enjoyable for all turns. I was blessed by Jesse Jackman this week as I got to bring home a wonderful 9 week old Great Pyrenes puppy. He is a great animal and he is named after his grandfather whose name was Zack. Puppy's name is ZackTwo or known to me as Zacky. I will say pure Great Pyrenes dogs are in my opinion one of the most intelligent dogs.

Got a word from Gracie Yoder this week saying she is touring Thailand. One of the things she said in her message made me smile. She said she was "living life to the fullest". I thought that is great. Looking around in Thailand she said the market is so pretty. We are very proud of Gracie and ask everyone to continue to hold her and her team in prayers. I had the opportunity to visit with a close friend of Gracie this week, auctioneer Rusty Johnson who, of course, is the auctioneer that Phillip Yoder, Gracie's dad works with. He had wonderful things to say about Gracie, and I must say the auction company has always been so good to the Antwiler Park Board in Fristoe. They always do the pie auction and any other way they can help the park board, they do. I want to give them a BIG shout-out!

Prayer requests: Delores Prater, Marie Lowry, Lovely Henderson, Donna Nelson, Kathy First, Jeanne Wright, Carolee Apperson, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Gladys Harris, Easter Willis, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church held their Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner on Sunday after church services. It was a wonderful meal with the church providing the meat and the congregation adding side dishes and desserts. Jackman's Meat Processing fixed the meat of ham, turkey and brisket, and with the church ladies all adding their special dishes it was a bountiful feast! As a side word, Jackman's do a great job on the meats they provide at a very reasonable price! Br. Dave Cunningham brought the message Sunday morning from the Gospels! Several to be mentioned this morning is Dewayne Colbert as he enjoyed the service and helping do things as there were more people than planned and an extra table had to be set up. Chef Richard came and ate dinner with the church and the ladies fixed a nice box of food for Lewis Retherford to take to Judy. Ray, Ruth and Marie Lowry enjoyed the meal together as they don't do that often. Ruth works so she doesn't get to enjoy Sundays with Ray and Marie much. Marie had fallen and hurt her arm and it was bothering her. For anyone interested, Monday mornings at 9:00 AM, ladies meet for prayer meeting and church "spic & span". Please anyone interested stop by. You will be welcomed, I guarantee.

Thought for the week: A person that can kneel before God can stand up to anything!

Hope everyone reading the paper has a safe and happy week!
