The weather was really nice in the Fristoe area on Thanksgiving Day, but by Saturday night, Mr. Winter arose to have some say. Things started in the northern counties but by late Saturday night and early Sunday morning the snow everyone was talking about had arrived even in Benton County. Although the snow did not stay in this area, the temperature was really too cold for comfort.
Here is hoping that everyone had as great of Thanksgiving as I did with my family. Both of my boys, Adam, Bridget, Laney and Maddie from Fristoe and Randy with Heather, and Ryleigh and Heather's Dad, Vernon from Kearney spent the day and it was a wonderful day. Randy and his family headed back to the city late Thursday evening in order to get Ryleigh back home as she had to work on Friday. God was good to us and we had a really good day!
Several families from Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church shared the facilities of the church Thursday by putting their dinners together and sharing their food and good times. Some who would have spent the day alone were blessed to have friends to share with instead.

Fristoe Lighthouse Church sends out a LOUD Happy Birthday shoutout to Pastor's wife, Brenda as she will celebrate her birthday on Friday, December 1.
Fristoe Lighthouse Church was down in numbers this Sunday; some due to illness, some from being out of town. The Sunday School adults finished this quarter's unit with the lesson being on the responsibility God wants us to have toward our environment. Sis. Dobee and Br. Ken sang a beautiful special, as did Br. Dave Cunningham singing a special. The message Br. Smith brought was from Acts Chapter 2. Br. Smith challenges all of us to follow Acts Chapter 2's guidance in how to live and worship the Lord!
Thought for the week: Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good!
Hope everyone reading the news sees something good and is uplifted!
