On January 30, 2025 a fundraiser was held for well known Clinton teacher Connie Connor who was diagnosed with cancer last August.
The event was held at the Clinton Middle School and included a variety of soups, dessert and a drink.
A silent auction as well as a pie auction took place with over $6,000 being raised.
Connie wanted to thank everyone who attended with some words of gratitude;
“Words can’t begin to express my thanks. The amount of caring and concern and love and prayers from this community has been such a blessing!
It is overwhelming and so surprising in such a wonderful way. Thank you for seeing my struggle and reaching out to help me in my time of need. We’ve made progress on this battle and can’t wait to one day say I’ve beaten it.
Thank you for taking time to come out and support me. It gives me strength for the journey and I will never ever forget everyone’s efforts tonight from the students, colleagues, friends, and strangers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
