Cardinals Volleyball, which entered districts this week on a hot streak after running the table on their home court last week in the Clinton Invitational Tournament, were able to ride that momentum into district play this week as they punched their ticket to a championship opportunity against Pleasant Hill.
To punch their ticket the Lady Cards dispatched Ewing Marion Kauffman in opening round play, sweeping all three sets. Rolling into the semi-finals against Harrisonville, the team once again road their momentum to an impressive victory, taking down the Wildcats 3-1. With the semi-final victory, Cardinals Volleyball (19-12-2), riding the wave of an thrilling 8 game win streak, travels to Pleasant Hill on Tuesday to take on a strong Roosters team (22-8) to decide who will move on and achieve championship glory.
