Cox, Blankenship To Speak At April Christian Women's Connection Luncheon

Posted

March went out like a lion, but April has come in pretty wild! However, it is supposed to mellow out and give us balmy weather next week. We shall see.
Whichever way the wind blows, we have a terrific luncheon planned. Sandi Cox will be our feature and will tell us about “The Optimist Creed, a Great Way of Life.” Sandi grew up here in Clinton, graduating from CHS with the class of 1980. She then graduated, (Cum Laude) from Missouri Valley Collage in 2000. She has been a member of the Optimist Club since 1991. She is a member of both the Clinton Sunrise and the Clinton Mid-Day clubs. She is the Past Governor of the West Missouri District and currently serves as the District Optimist International Foundation Representative and is a West Missouri District Lieutenant Governor. In addition to all that, she has been the office manager/sales person at Integrity Floors for 13 years. She and her husband, Jim, have three married daughters which have given them ten grandchildren.
Karen Blankenship will be our main speaker. She is excited to share about ‘The Power of Journaling’. From speaking at events, conferences, breakout sessions, keynotes and more, Karen empowers others to live an inspired life. She speaks online and in-person. Through her writing, she shares stories that educate, entertain and encourage others, around the world, to live the life of their dreams. There are many physical and emotional benefits of journaling. You can spend as little or as much time as you like, just learn to “write it down.” When we share our own experiences, we can share old ideas in new ways and remind others of what really matters. Karen and her husband, Dan, co-founded Philemon International, a non-prophet organization dedicated to inspiring others through speaking, hospitality and short term mission trips. They are blessed with three grown children, (two with In-law attachments) and is ‘Grandma K’ to five awesome grandchildren.
The Christian Women’s Connection would like invite area ladies to bring a friend or meet a friend to the CWC Luncheon on Tuesday, April 18th at 11:45 a.m. at the Assembly church, (soon to be Victory church) at the NE corner of highways 7 and 14.
