Clinton School District staff are encouraged to complete the Google for Education Level 1 courses and take the certification exam to distinguish themselves as someone who has a mastery of the
Google tools that are available to be used in the classroom.
Becoming Google-certified strengthens an educator's confidence in using technology and helps them support students with technology. Staff are also better equipped to provide remote learning and instruction during times of quarantine or school closure.
"We are 21 years into the 21st Century, and we need to be teaching our students to understand, explore and excel at using technology in the school setting, workplace, and for the jobs of the future that we have not even thought of yet, " says Megan Gretzinger, Director of Instructional Technology.
Currently, 83 staff members have received Google Level 1 certification, as well as three staff who are Google Level 2 certified. Pictured below are teachers who are new to the district this year who received their Google Level 1 certification.
