Clinton Rotary Club Sponsors Annual Connie Austin Cake Auction

Posted

The Henry County Memory Fund Committee would like to say a huge thank you to the Clinton Rotary Club for continuing to host the Annual Connie Austin Cake Auction. Each year the Rotarians host this event in memory of Connie because she was a leading factor in starting the event and having the proceeds benefit the Henry County Memory Fund. Because of the generous donations of the rotarians a total of $1,510 was raised in support of our efforts to assist those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Henry County Memory Fund was founded to help people with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia and their caregivers pay for items such as prescriptions, durable medical equipment, respite care, transportation, and housing assistance, payable to vendors only. At the end of the year, a donation of up to 10% of the funds raised will be donated for research for Alzheimer’s and dementia to continue in the fight for a cure.
The Henry County Memory Fund will be hosting our Annual Big Purple Party on May 6, 2023, at Hawthorn Bank’s parking lot at Old Country Club Park with registration beginning at 9:00 am followed by the ceremony at 9:30 am. Please join us by participating in The Big Purple Party where we will recognize, remember, and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
