On Sunday, Pastor Pat Findley continued in the Experiencing God series with a message titled, ‘God Speaks’. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes and His ways. Knowing God’s Will for us must first begin with knowing Him, and we must be willing to say ‘yes’ when He speaks to us. God speaks through His written word, and the Bible helps us to interpret what He’s doing around us. God speaks through our prayerful conversation because He wants to hear from us, but we must also remember to listen. God also speaks through appointed circumstances, or experiences in your life in which God chooses to speak. We don’t have to do extraordinary things, but we should simply do ordinary things with extraordinary love. Let us pray to have ears to hear and to have hearts that are ready to respond when God speaks to us.

On Palm Sunday we celebrated the triumphal entry of Jesus. He came bringing comfort, peace and love. Just as the shouts of Hosanna in the Highest! was proclaimed all those many years ago, let us, too, shout Hosanna to Christ! and make Him king of our life. The hand chime choir presented the anthem “All Glory, Laud, and Honor”. Rev. Nancy Gillard delivered the message Everyone Loves a Parade using John 12: 12 – 19 as her text.
The collection of deodorant for the Samaritan Center continues and will throughout the months of March and April. Please place your donations on the shelves in the foyer.

Mark 11:7-10. (KJV)
God uses events that took place over 4000 years ago to line up with today. The Old Testament will always be relevant because it gets us ready in present day.
Jesus let the people know that a blood offering had to be shed for God to remove our sin. We have to be washed in the blood as blood was applied for the Passover. The blood placed over the doorway in Exodus caused death to pass over those individuals.
The blood upon us protects us when the death angel comes.
Zec 9:9. (KJV)
God wanted people to know back in the Old Testament in the book of Zechariah that Jesus was coming in the New Testament. We have to have the Holy Ghost guide us in the word. We need to ensure that God’s word reaches everyone.
When the Lord rode on the colt, people laid out their garments and palm leaves before him. Palm Sunday is an important day to God. We should pay more attention to it and the week ahead that leads to Resurrection Sunday. Palm leaves are a symbol of victory.
From Palm Sunday to Good Friday, Jesus went through a battle. Isaiah 53 tells us what he went through. Jesus did this for us. He knew what was going to happen to him, but he claimed the victory before the battle.
The people in Numbers were bitten by snakes and asked Mosses to speak to the Lord m, as they had sinned, speaking against both Mosses and the Lord. God had Mosses construct a pole with a serpent for those who were bitten to look upon it and live. (Numbers 21:7-9)
In the same manner, Jesus said those who looked upon him placed up on the cross would be saved. He is our Passover lamb, when we have the lamb of God we can claim the victory in the battle. We have to claim the victory in all we go through.
You can cut a potato in half and plant it in dirt. When harvest comes, there are multiple potatoes. We can liken this to the Lord. He took those cuts to his body, torture, and nailed to the cross. He was buried in a garden. At harvest, he will have many. Claim the victory before the battle.
God Bless.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will be celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with Holy Communion and Resurrection hymns on Easter Sunday at 10:00 AM. Prior to Easter and the celebration of the Resurrection, we will be observing the crucifixion of our Lord with a service at 12:00 noon on Friday. We invite all who would like to spend some time in prayer on this day to join us for this day-time service.
Every Sunday in our worship we remember Jesus’s supreme sacrifice for all of humanity with these words:
Holy and gracious Father: In your infinite love you made us for yourself; and, when we had fallen into sin and become subject to evil and death, you, in your mercy, sent Jesus Christ, your only and eternal Son, to share our human nature, to live and die as one of us, to reconcile us to you, the God and Father of all.
He stretched out his arms upon the cross, and offered himself, in obedience to your will, a perfect sacrifice for the whole world. (Book of Common Prayer)
Easter Sunday and every Sunday, we give thanks that we have been redeemed by our Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord, through His death on the cross and His resurrection. If you do not have a church you regularly attend and would like to give thanks to God our Father, please come worship with us.
“Alleluia, the Lord is risen.
He is risen, indeed, alleluia!”

It was a beautiful Palm Sunday to gather and worship the Lord. Clint Keeney rang the church bell. Mrs. Julia Klinefelter led in the congregational singing with Mrs. Dixie Collins playing piano. Randy Vogt and Clint Keeney collected the offering.
The scripture passage from Pastor Chad Pollett’s sermon was from John 7:25-36. In this passage Jesus was teaching in Jerusalem. The Pharisees and Sadducees were trying to find a reason to arrest Him. Many in the crowd truly believed He was the promised Messiah. We are fortunate today to have God’s word and teachings in the Bible. By studying the Bible we will be able to understand and know Him personally in our hearts and soul. Good works and basic knowledge will not get us to Heaven. True faith in Jesus saves us. Be a blessing to someone this week.

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. This Palm Sunday is a reminder of our welcoming of Jesus into our hearts and our willingness to follow him. It is a perfect day.
Karen Lasswell welcomed us as we came to worship in our country church on the brow of the hill! Birds were singing and the plants around the prairie are showing their spring colors!
We send prayers to those who are recuperating from surgery and illness. It was good to see Judy Neuenschwander back to church this morning and feeling some better. We pray for this nation and for our world. We pray for the families of the Ukraine as they fight for all democracy. This year, Valley Center is honored to host the Lowry City Community Sunrise services, beginning at 6 am on Easter morning.
Emily and Madison lit the altar candles to begin our worship services. Rev. Dane and John Gover shared the hymn, “Breathe on Me, Breath of God” by playing their violin and guitar.
The festival of Palm Sunday commemorates Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Followers from all over the world gathered together in excitement for this event! For many, it was a disruption in their daily routines of work and other responsibilities, but when they heard he was coming, they stopped everything to go and see him face to face!! There was music and songs of praise as they lined the streets watching and waiting to see Jesus. And as he passed by, they knew he was the anointed one, their savior. They didn’t know what was to happen the next coming days or envision the empty tomb, but they saw and believed and felt the presence of God.
Palm Sunday creates a theology of disruption. On this perfect day, we need to stop and let go of all our distractions and daily duties and know who Jesus really is. This disruption in our lives makes us realize and understand that God loves us, not because of what we do, but because we believe. Jesus comes to us because of God’s glory. When Christ comes into our own lives and as we hear those chants of invitation that call us to follow him, we will know the joy that we are in the presence of God.
As we say, “Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest” his love and acceptance is revealed to us and all doubt will melt away as we joyfully gaze upon our Savior, the one who is the essence of all things devine. His steadfast love endures forever.
