Bluebirds Battling Consistency On Baseball Diamond

The Cole Camp Bluebirds are 3-3 after a couple of busy weeks of baseball this season.

After losing to Warsaw, 5-2 and Eugene, 12-1, the Bluebirds defeated Sherwood in five innings, 13-3 back on March 20, behind the three hit pitching of Kolby Bohon.

Blake Abey hit a solo home run to left field in the second.

The next day, on Thursday, March 21, they lost to California on the road, 10-4.

A six run fourth blew the game open for the Pintos.Jack Schreck got the win on the mound and Blake Abey took the loss for Cole Camp.

After a couple of rainouts, the Bluebirds defeated Otterville, 3-2 at home on Tuesday, March 26, on a walk-off error.

Grady Strathman bunted and Reid Harrison, who had walked and stole second, scored when the ball was misplayed in the infield..

On Thursday, March 28, at the friendly William Smart baseball field, the Bluebirds pounded Leeton, 11-1.

Grant Rodriguez had a great day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's. The Bluebirds scored one in the first, four in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth and one in the fifth in the five inning affair.

Cole Camp was 11-7-4 while Leeton finished 1-0-6.

Kolby Bohon got the no-hitter striking out nine and walking one.
