A large crowd gathered for the bimonthly Benton County Historical Society meeting to hear a program presented by archaeologist, Chris Hord. Chris grew up in Clinton and on a family farm in southern Benton County. He is attached to several agencies that conduct field work across the Midwest, Great Plains and desert Southwest.
Chris has been instrumental in developing the outstanding artifact collection given to the museum by the late Steve Hanson. The display is available for viewing at the Benton County Museum which will open for the 2023 season on April 7.
