Truman Lake Moose Lodge No. 2722, Clinton, MO, recently learned of a special need for personal clothing items for many of the residents at the Windsor Health Care and Rehabilitation. Based on a list of needed hygiene and clothing items, our Moose Lodge decided to use this need as one of our monthly “Heart of Community” projects. We raised funds through a special fish fry dinner promoted by our members from the Calhoun area known as the “Mud Dobbers”. Other Lodge members donated items and/or cash to purchase items for this project.
One of our members purchased and donated many of the new personal items for the residents. Her mother, Arietta Teegarden, had been a resident of the home and she wanted to donate the items in memory of her mother. All of the donated items were delivered to the Windsor Health Care and Rehabilitation. Employees Nicole Taylor and Jordan Merrill are shown receiving all the items from Truman Lake Moose members.
