Quilt Walk Puts On A "Sew" For Main Street

Posted

Clinton Main Street in cooperation with the Greater Golden Valley Quilters' Guild and White Flower Quilt Shop, hosted Quilt Walk 2021 this past Saturday! Quilters from around the state, and some from farther, came downtown to admire the displays, shop, and collect blocks to a custom quilt. Guests from afar and local commented on how wonderful our many shops are and the beautiful downtown district. Major sponsors for the event were OakStar Bank, Clinton Tourism and White Flower Quilt Shop. Tony Munoez and Diane Harris, aka The Stash Bandit, were featured speakers for the event. This is the second Quilt Walk that Clinton Main Street has hosted and the next is planned for April 1st & 2nd 2022! The Greater Golden Valley Quilters' Guild also sponsored a quilt show on Friday and Saturday at the Benson Center. Members of the guild hung quilts in various categories according to size or were special projects during the year. They hosted vendors (some from out of state) with quilt or sewing related products.
