Peggy G. Little
Peggy G. Little, 71, of Clinton, Missouri passed away early Monday morning, December 20, 2021 at her home. She was born April 28, 1950 in Raytown, Mo., the daughter of Wesley Rapp and Wilma (Cook) Rapp. She married Ricky E. Little on July 1, 1992 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He survives of the home. Additional survivors are one daughter, Victoria DePeralta (Shawn), Independence, Mo.; one son, James DePeralta (Marina), Kansas City, Mo.; one step-son, Christopher Little (Popy), Cedar Hill, Texas; her mother, Wilma Walker, Independence, Mo.; one brother, Robert Rapp (Linda), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Northeast Baptist Church, 619 East Lincoln Street, Clinton, Mo. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., just prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, 626 South Vansant Road, Clinton, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Northeast Baptist Church Acts 1:8 Mission Fund. These donations may be left in care of the funeral home. James Edward “Jim” Niemann
James Edward “Jim” Niemann, 71, departed this life at Research Hospital on December 31, 2021 with his wife, of 39 years, at his side.
Jim was born December 5, 1950 in Appleton City, Missouri, the son of William Carl and Neta Lucille (Duckworth) Niemann. He grew up in Appleton City playing basketball through high school and graduating in 1968. He began college at CMSU, but was drafted into the US Army serving about a year as an MP in Vietnam. He attained the rank of sergeant there and also celebrated his 21st birthday. After being honorably discharged, Jim returned to the university where he played rugby and earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety with a minor in Earth Science.
At age 31, Jim met Lois Elaine Cox and five months later on September 18, 1982 they were married at a Lutheran chapel in Freistatt, Missouri. To this union two children were born.
Jim worked for 21 years as a purchasing manager for Alcan Cable before his retirement in 2012. While living in Lebanon, Missouri Jim became an accomplished taxidermist. He had won numerous awards for his work during that 10 year period.
After retiring, Jim and Lois purchased some acreage near Clinton, Missouri and moved there from Sedalia, Missouri. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton, Missouri. His faith was strong and God was the key in his life.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt geese and ducks. He loved dogs, especially labs. He also enjoyed fishing especially catching crappie and catfish. In the last few years Jim had started playing pickleball. He and Lois found great pleasure just sitting together and watching nature from their front porch. He had planned to convert their land back to natural prairie grasses. Jim made several varieties of very good wine which was bottled under the “Front Porch Wine” label. He had recently taken up bee keeping and found it to be a challenge. He was currently working four hives.
After God, Jim’s family was of the upmost importance. He loved sitting and talking to his kids about what had happened in their day. He attended their activities cheering them on and supported them being proud of their accomplishments. He was looking forward to the day he could also spend time with his newest granddaughter, Finley.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents and an infant brother, Charles. Survivors include his wife, Lois Niemann; one son, Will Niemann (Kristin) and their daughter, Finley; one daughter, Katie Jobe (Travis) and their daughter Gracy. Jim was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Harry M. Holcomb
Harry M. Holcomb, age 88, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 25, at Westwood Living Center in Clinton, Missouri.
Harry was born on August 4, 1933 in Batavia, Iowa to Clarence George Holcomb and Edith Gertrude Thomas Holcomb. He graduated High School from Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1951. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Gregory on June 26, 1955, making their home in Agency, Iowa.
They moved to Clinton, Missouri, in 1964 and Clinton became their family home. Harry worked in the farming industry for most of his life. Early on he worked at Linstrom Hatchery, later known as the Clinton Hatchery. His career included employment as an over-the-road truck driver, Stewart-Nattingers, the Clinton Fire Department as a fire truck driver, farming with Carl Barnhart, heavy equipment operator and his last full-time employment was with Cook Tractor and Auction.
He is survived by his children: daughter, Margaret E. Breshears of Montrose, MO son Harry J Holcomb (wife Debra) of Lincoln, Nebraska, and daughter Glenda L. Richardson (husband Monte) of Warrensburg, MO. Harry was Grandfather to 5 grandchildren (Jason, Mathew, Heather, Tiffany and Curtis), several great grandchildren and a great great grandson. He is also survived by his brother Grant Holcomb (wife Judy) of Florence, Arizona, brother Jimmie Holcomb (wife Merna) of Fairfield, Iowa, sister Trudy Hey of St. Petersburg, Florida, sister Thelma White, of Iowa City, Iowa, sister Velma Hummel of Burlington, Iowa, sister Mable Hart (husband Charles) of Ottumwa, sister Sarah Poss (husband Frank) of St. Petersburg, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou Gregory Holcomb (November 18, 1988), a great grandson Matthew Breshears, brother Clarence G Holcomb Jr, sister Martha Filson, and brother Jackie D Holcomb.
Funeral services were held December 30, 2021 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Monte Richardson officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace, Scars In Heaven and Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone.” The casket bearers were Sam Goth, John Cook, Marty Jackson, Jason Breshears, Mathew Breshears, Curtis Richardson and Kurt Kirkendall. Interment followed in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Military honors were under the direction of Montrose VFW 8820 and the US Army.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.

F. Lorraine Brown, 99, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, died Friday, December 31, 2021. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO. Preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Brown; son, Stan Brown; parents, Fredrick and Cordia Shafner; 2 sisters. Survived by her daughter, Sarajane (Chuck Grauel) Brown of Wichita; granddaughter, Abby (Chuck) Zavos of Liberty, MO; great-granddaughter, Amara Phillips; great-grandsons, Eli Phillips, Gramm Zavos. Wanda Howard, 86, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Mo., died early Friday morning, December 31, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Ron Jobe officiating. Burial was in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
