The temperature at game time was cool. But the fans soon put on their jackets as the cool air became cold air. But the soccer game was hot enough as the Lady Cards fought the visiting (6-6) Osage Indians on Monday, April 19.

The Indians had the better attacks to start the game. The Cardinal defense was still able to protect their goal, keeping it 0-0 until a Penalty Kick was awarded with 16 minutesleft in the first half.

The PK shot went to Maddy Allard’s right. She dove to the right but the ball was still not reachable. The Indians went up 1-0 and it remained so at the break.

In the second half the Lady Cards were able to put more pressure on the Indians’ back line but the Osage goalie did not have to make many saves. The cold air was blowing harder and time was running out. Yet, the Cards were very determined and finally broke through the Osage back line but they still could not beat the Osage goalie.

The final score was 1-0. The Lady Cards fall to 5-7 on the season.
