HEARTLAND TRACTOR: The Division 1 (ages 8-11) Softball League finished with the Lakeland team, sponsored by Heartland Tractor, winning with a record of 7-0. The post-season tournament was packed with close games. Lakeland’s Heartland Tractor had to come from behind to beat West Side Salon 4-3 in the semifinal game. It was Lakeland vs Secure Net in the championship game played on Wednesday, July 14, at Wagoner West. The Lakeland team was coached by Jamie Harrill, Will Engelhardt and Shauna Lee. The “Nets” were coached by Beth Wilson and Troy Bohannan. The game was very close with Heartland pulling it out in the fifth inning winning 2-1. To this fan it was obvious that every team in the league improved their play significantly over the season. Congratulations to the Lakeland team. Hope everybody had fun.
