Have I Got A Line For You!

“It all comes out in the wash” is how the old saying goes. Seems true for the Wuhan Lab. A new report claims Covid leaked out in September 2019 after the facility tried to improve air safety and waste treatment machines. Makes sense to me. It was an accident that could have been prevented by not messing around with nature in the first place. Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and we “accidentally” released a chemical weapon on China and covered it up. Bet this report doesn’t go any further then Republicans and Democrats slinging more mud at each other.

ARCHEOLOGICAL NEWS! Wicker baskets filled with fruit from the 4th century BC were discovered last week in the submerged city of Thonis-Heracleion. The baskets have been there since the city sank beneath the waves. Egypt was under Greek rule back then by Ptolemy Soter. He was a general under Alexander the Great and appointed himself Pharaoh. Ptolemy ran a “lively” country and lasted until Cleopatra and the Romans had a go out it. No one is sure what caused the city to sink. Looks like the citizens made a mad dash from an earthquake or tidal wave. These people and the ones who built the pyramids were advanced beyond what history tells us. Something happened and wiped them out, sending everything back to the Stone Ages and we started over.

Folks in Minneapolis just marked the 14 year anniversary of the big bridge collapse. I remember the night it happened and stayed up late to watch the coverage. Over a hundred cars dropped to the river and thirteen people died. I crossed that bridge once over to St. Paul. I was in Minneapolis several times when traveling there for work and it’s a pleasant town. Although I sure wouldn’t want to live where you cross bridges downtown to get from a store on one side of the street to a store on the other side of the street. There’s a bakery on Lyndale Avenue called The French Market that’s incredible. And there’s a barbecue restaurant close by that a former co-worker told me about. The most surprising place I’ve ever found a barbecue was in Boston next to my hotel on Copley Square. I didn’t try it though. I’ve order seafood every time I’ve eaten in that historic city.
