FAMILY: Wife Emily, Son Quentin, Daughter Carley
OCCUPATION: Director of Parks and Recreation, City of Clinton for 29 years
EDUCATION: Graduated from CHS in 1985, then graduated from CMSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education
FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY:
Probably just getting together daily in the summer with all my friends riding our bikes to the old Little League field behind Henry Elementary, playing baseball all afternoon. We would get mad at the Park and Rec for running us off the field when it was time to prep for the nights ball games. Ironic since I now work for the Rec!. Then we would ride over to Mr Swiss for a drink and fries, probably for 50-75 cents.
FIRST JOB: Sweeping floors at Fristoes Body Shop in the 5th grade. My Uncle Chipper got me the gig.
HOBBIES:
I love to garden (got that from my dad), watching sports and my detective shows, and being with family and friends at the Elks Lodge
WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST IN YOUR FRIENDS? Being loyal through the good and the bad

I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO:
Do this again (jk)
I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO: Sing, I want to be the lead singer of a 70’s and 80’s rock band
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
I showed up to a little league all star game in Concordia wearing blue jeans instead of baseball pants. I didn’t even want to step out of the dugout. Thanks Mom and Dad!
FAVORITE BAND:
I like all kinds of music, but Journey is my favorite, with AC/DC a close second
IF I WON THE LOTTERY I WOULD:
Pay off bills, help family out, buy hunting property
FUTURE GOAL: Retire
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT LIVING IN CLINTON?
I like living in Clinton because it is a smaller town. The community supports so many different causes. The people take care of one another around here. We are centrally located, so it doesn’t take long to go somewhere you want or need to. I think we are lucky to have the schools, local businesses, and healthcare that we have.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR? Snakes. Mice and spiders….no problem, but nooooo snakes!
WHICH PERSON DO YOU ADMIRE THE MOST?
Gonna say my wife. She is the mother of two and currently in her 22nd year in the Clinton School District teaching Middle School Algebra. And wife to me!!!(that’s not easy!). She is the smart one in this marriage, so she has been the homework helper, problem solver, and the one that has the level head. And again, she puts up with me. We are getting ready to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in May. I’m just glad she has kept me around.
WORDS TO LIVE BY: Be a good person. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
