The replacement of the bridge on Elm Branch Road on the outskirts of Windsor has created a detour of 3.1 miles and created a hardship for those living in the area. This has not gone unnoticed by the County Commissioners or the contractor and an extra push is on to complete it sooner than expected.
Completion date was originally set for September 27, 2024 but due to the extra efforts by the contractor, it is projected to be opened to traffic by the middle of August, before the start of school.
Cale Seymour Construction of Knobnoster, Mo is the company constructing the new overpass on Elm Branch, replacing the original 1925 structure. Cost of Engineering for the new bridge was $65,000 and the actual construction comes with a $244,178.72 price tag.
