The picture above shows the effort the CMS Cardinals put into their game on Thursday, Sept.30. It was a good one with 0-0 after the first quarter. 14-8 Cards at the half. 20-14 Cards after three and the final score was 20-20. Coach Banks post game comments: “WOW! Tonight was the most intense football game that I have ever coached. For the second week in a row we got to play an absolute class act program in the Harrisonville Wildcats. Something happened tonight that I’ve never had happen since I’ve been coaching, the game ended in a 20-20 tie. Every kid on both teams left everything they had on the field. Although this team can’t stand not winning, I am beyond proud of the effort and proud of my boys. With that being said, we had way too many “moments” that cost us the game. Silly moments. But the good thing is they are all teachable moments that we will get corrected. Our B team played their first full game of the year tonight and played their tails off from the first snap to the last. They were outstanding defensively but came up just short 8-14. Every kid on our roster is night and day from where they were at the beginning of the season. A BIG Thank You to all the fans that came and brought the noise! We look forward to hosting Odessa next week and giving it everything we’ve got.” Go Cardinals!
